Matthew Oldham

Associate, Zetland Analytics & Portfolio Services

Matthew joined Zetland in February 2025 as an Associate in the Zetland Analytics & Portfolio Services team. He reports to Director Constantinas Bounas, and is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing the firm’s analytics and reporting framework. He leverages his dual expertise in data engineering and financial modelling to introduce higher sophistication and operational resilience to Zetland’s internal analytics.

Before Zetland, Matthew worked at KPMG London from 2015 to 2025 in the Financial Modelling & Analytics team. There he specialised in data-driven modelling services for financial services clients (banks, insurers, asset & wealth management). Outside project work, Matthew helped shape firm-wide capabilities by designing and delivering technical training programmes for junior colleagues.

Matthew holds a BSc (Hons) in Theoretical Physics (2:1) from Lancaster University, and passed all three levels of the CFA Program on first attempt. His technical skill set spans Excel, Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL, and VBA.

Living our Values

“I’ve always tried to combine a passion for innovation with respect for collaboration. A tool isn’t worth much if only it’s creator can use it.

After (reluctantly) taking up competitive debating as a teenager, I was lucky to learn from coaches who felt that communication and critical thinking were powerful skills—skills too often inaccessible to many. That experience drives me to help others through technical terrain, with patience, respect, and encouragement.

My goal is to empower others, not to dazzle them, and as part of our ZAPS team, we are empowered to bring our blended capabilities of financial modelling, engineering, and consulting to the fingertips of everyone else in the firm.”
