Ed is a Special advisor to Zetland Capital bringing his extensive Investment oversight, M&A transaction, business turnaround and general business direction experience to assist the firm achieve its long-term goals and vision.

The bulk of Ed’s career was as a senior director and number two to the Chairman and owner of the Klesch Group. In his 32 years there, Ed was both an executive and non-executive director of several group companies providing strategic, operational and financial direction, often immediately post-acquisition providing much needed stability. Additionally, Ed mentored several business unit chief executives and finance directors providing them with the guidance needed to perform their roles confidently and successfully. During these 32 years, Ed completed the purchase and sale of innumerable businesses and corporate debt instruments.

In his early years, Ed worked for PwC in both London and New York as an advisor specialising in M&A and business turnaround. Ed is member of both the ICAEW and IFT and has a degree in Classics from Jesus College, Oxford. [In his spare time, Ed is an accomplished open water swimmer having swam the English Channel aged 67 yrs and is a Guinness World Record Holder as the oldest person in the world to complete the International Triple Crown of Open water Swimming (English Channel, Catalina Channel (LA) and 20 Bridges around Manhattan Island (NYC).]
